About the Artist:
Taravat Talepasand explores issues of freedom, dignity, and social justice. Drawing from her own Iranian heritage, Talepasand’s body of work speaks to the troubled, yet hopeful, differences between Iran and its women in today’s “modern” society. Tara lives and works in San Francisco and is a tenured professor of painting at the San Francisco Art Institute.
